Hjördís (Dísa) Guðjónsdóttir
Founder: Hjördís immigrated to Seattle, Washington in her childhood and was educated at the University of Washington earning a Business & Accounting degree. Previously she worked as a financial analyst with Twentieth Century Fox, was President of the Seattle-Reykjavik Sister City, President of the Icelandic Association of Washington D.C., participated in the Icelandic club in Arizona and Tokyo, Japan and recently, with a group of Icelandic women in the Rocky Mountain area started the Icelandic Association of Colorado. She now splits her time between Reykjavik and Colorado.

Brynja Elísabet
Cofounder: A 2025 graduate of
New York University in Computer Science, Brynja brings with her a wealth of knowledge of Icelandic history. She especially has enjoyed the history and culture of the Icelandic national costume. She is an integral part of connecting the dots between Iceland Here and Abroad via her travels and connections around the world.

Bryndís Anna
Cofounder: A medical student in Dublin, Bryndis is either studying In Ireland or working in Iceland at the National Hospital. She is the founder and President of the Trinity College Nordic Society, the first of its kind since the university opened its doors in 1592. Her Icelandic roots run deep, but her journey has taken her around the world- from the U.S. to Shanghai, Prague, and London. For her, Iceland Here and Abroad is a cultural and creative outlet, an important way to celebrate identity and build communities.
